Cookies
One cookie, set on arrival, strictly necessary: it tells the site that a form was sent by the same browser that loaded it, and it limits how often one browser can send. It carries no identity and is not shared. There are no analytics, no advertising cookies and no third-party scripts, so there is no banner to click.
Enquiries
If you send an enquiry, the name, email address, organisation and text you give are stored so that a person can reply, and a copy is emailed to the firm. They are kept for twelve months from the day you sent them and then deleted automatically. They are not added to any list and are not shared with anyone outside the firm.
The Insights mailing list
If you ask for the monthly Insights brief by email, the address you give is stored with the date, the wording you agreed to, and a one-time confirmation code, and one email is sent to confirm it. Nothing else is sent unless you confirm. An address that is not confirmed is deleted automatically after seven days. A confirmed address is used only to send the brief, once a month; it is kept while you are subscribed, and every email carries a link that unsubscribes you in one step. Unsubscribing deletes the address at once. Emails are sent through an email delivery provider acting on the firm’s instructions. The address is not shared or sold, and the list is not used for anything else. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Backups
The store behind this site is copied nightly, verified, and the copy is encrypted before it leaves the server. Copies are deleted after thirty-five days.
